This is definitely a throwback in time!
06.03.2017 – 11.03.2017
If Titanic is the ship of dreams in the 19th century, then Ovation of the Seas is definitely the ship of dreams of the 21st century for me.
The friendly staff and the cozy yet glamorous environment really makes you feel like you’re in another dimension altogether.
Your room is cleaned two times a day (late morning and evening), and in the evening they will leave an entire list of activities that will be going on for the next day.
Some activities like NorthStar 360°, RipCord by iFly and FlowRider would require advanced booking (totally free by the way), and all you have to do is choose your preferred time slot via the available iPads at the kiosk.
If you are thinking of going on the little tours, you can also book and get your tickets at the kiosk.
However, if you just want to relax on board, rest assure they’ve got you covered!
For humans of all ages, you can enjoy a range of sports and activities at the Seaplex. In the evening, I personally recommend everyone to have fun with BumperCars!! But do queue early if you have night activities planned out for yourself 🙂
There is also an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool (jacuzzi as well). And if you’re really hot, free ice cream will be there to save you 😉
If you exercise frequently, there is a running track on the deck, and a gym waiting for you. Of course I have to say that there is a VitalitySpa for the ladies out there, and it is located right next to the gym 🙂
For all the food lovers out there, I have to say that Windjammer Marketplace, Jamie’s Italian (requires extra payment) and Chops Grille (for formal night) are my top 3 places!
Just a quick side track, do dress your ultimate best for formal night and have lots of fun with your company 😀 I went in alone but I had an awesome time just absorbing the experience of fine dining ❤
At night, I love to watch movies on the deck. There is the outdoor movie thing and it is really relaxing just watching movies on a sunbed under a starry sky.
Then I like to go to Bolero to listen to the band play some songs whilst sipping on alcohol (Cali Cooler is my favourite). Please also give the Bionic Bar a go (requires extra payment)! If you do not want to spend the money, it is still pretty mesmerising to watch the bots shakin’ it up!
And when the clock strikes 12, I’ll be in the Music Hall dancing with strangers who became my friends 😉
Cheeky little tip, if you need some food after all that alcohol, go to Sorrento’s for some pizza (yes it is open 24/7!). My mom says that they made the best pizzas she ever tasted 😀
If anyone is planning to go or have went, please share your experiences too as I’d love to hear them 🙂
